Dr. Meg Wharin
Meet Dr. Meg
Raised in the Georgian Bay Area of Ontario, Dr. Meg Wharin grew up with a love of animals from a very young age, (as all aspiring veterinarians do). She attended the University of Guelph for her undergraduate degree in biology and then hopped across the pond for vet school in Ireland at the University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine.
In late 2023, Meg and her husband made the big move to the Sunshine Coast. Together they have a Jack Russell terrier, a Dutch shepherd, two ragdoll cats, and a horse.
Meg has always had a passion for integrative medicine, with a special interest in traditional chinese medicine and its role in helping pets and their owners during end-of-life care, chronic illness, pain management and sports medicine. This led her to obtain her CVA certification in Canine and Feline Acupuncture from the Chi University in Ocala Florida. She is also currently in the process of completing her certification in Hospice and Palliative care with the Chi University as well.
When not at work, you can find Meg hiking the endless Sunshine Coast trails with her dogs, riding her horse, and spending time boating and travelling with her husband.
